Due to an increase in work we require another Full Time Recycling Operative/Driver to join our team. Northamptonshire Wood Recycling CIC work with local and national companies to collect, re-use and recycle waste wood and timber. As a community interest company we work to reduce the amount of really useful wood entering the waste stream whilst offering work experience, volunteering and employment to long term unemployed. We do this by offering local businesses and public a low cost alternative to skip hire.
The role is extremely physical and is much more than a driving job. You will be loading waste wood, pallets, ply sheets and other assorted waste onto our 3.5t caged tippers by hand. You will be responsible for driving one of our vans and making collections from building sites, commercial customers and the public. Manually loading the van so the work is very physical and you need to be able to work safely ensuring the wood is loaded and secured. The wood is then sorted, put in our shop or recycled. We will train you in all aspects of loading and recycling.
This is much more than a driving job. We are looking for someone who is reliable, flexible, organised and keen to learn more about recycling. Has a positive attitude and is happy to work in a team or alone.
